A Nebraska native, Kate brings over 18 years of nursing experience to her role as a Primary Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She began her career in acute rehabilitation at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, caring for patients across the lifespan. Her expertise expanded over nine years working with pediatric patients with complex medical needs, including ventilator-dependent care, in both Nebraska and Texas. In Texas, she focused on supporting children transitioning home from the NICU and PICU.
In 2016, she transitioned to acute care at Bryan Health, gaining experience in Neuro/Trauma ICU, Medical-Surgical ICU, Interventional Radiology, and Vascular Access. During this time, she earned multiple certifications and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her work in the ICU during the COVID-19 pandemic inspired her to pursue advanced practice nursing.
